April 17, (THEWILL)- The abducted wife and maid of Terwase Orbunde, a former Chief of Staff (CoS) to former Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, have regained freedom from their abductors four days after they were kidnapped.

The victims, Mrs. Abigail Kashimana Orbunde (wife) and Ms. Patience Ogute (maid), were released on Tuesday afternoon after payment of an undisclosed ransom to their abductors.

THEWILL had reported that gunmen, on Friday evening, attacked Hon. Orbunde, and abducted his wife and house help after inspecting a farm along Mobile Barracks-Welfare Quarters Road in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

While Orbunde escaped with a gunshot in his right arm, the attackers whisked away his wife along with the maid.

Confirming her release on Wednesday, Mrs. Orbunde, who thanked God for their deliverance, told newsmen that they walked long distances in the bush without food and water.

Her husband, who is receiving treatment in hospital for gunshot wounds, thanked God and all those who stood with the family in prayers and financial contributions to secure their release.
