Access Holdings

April 22, (THEWILL) — Access Holdings Plc has rejected a widely circulated “financial highlight” purportedly tied to its 2025 audited accounts, describing the document as unauthorised and prematurely released on social media.

In a formal statement, the group clarified that its audited financial statements are still undergoing final regulatory review by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), despite already securing approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

It emphasised that the official results will only be published on the Nigerian Exchange within 48 hours after receiving CBN clearance.

“The company hereby expressly disclaims the said financial highlight and urges the investing public to disregard the same as it is unauthorised”, Access Holdings stated, addressing market concerns over the leaked summary.

The disclosure, dated March 31, 2026, confirmed that SEC approval had been obtained, allowing the group to proceed with publication once CBN approval is finalised. This follows an earlier extension granted by the SEC in February, permitting submission of the FY2025 audited results on or before March 31, contingent on CBN sign-off.

The anticipated full-year results build on the group’s strong nine-month performance ending September 30, 2025. During that period, pretax profit rose 10.4 percent year-on-year to ₦616.2 billion, supported by robust interest income of ₦2.9 trillion and significant growth in non-interest revenue streams, including fees, commissions, and foreign exchange gains.

Market watchers now await the official release for a complete picture of the group’s full-year financial performance.
