June 17, (THEWILL) — Nigeria’s largest carrier, Air Peace, has announced a major expansion of its regional operations with the launch of new scheduled flight services connecting Lagos to four additional African cities — Douala in Cameroon, Libreville in Gabon, Bamako in Mali and Conakry in Guinea.
The airline disclosed that the new regional services will commence on August 1, 2026, describing the development as another significant milestone in its ongoing network expansion drive to improve travel access across Africa while supporting economic integration, trade, tourism and investment among African nations.
According to the airline, the expansion underscores its commitment to building stronger air transport links within Africa and creating more seamless travel opportunities for both business and leisure passengers across West and Central Africa.
Under the newly announced schedule, Air Peace will operate the Lagos-Douala-Libreville-Douala-Lagos route four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The schedule shows flights departing Lagos at 8:00am and arriving in Douala at 9:30am before continuing to Libreville at 10:10am and arriving at 11:30am. The return flight will depart Libreville at 12:10pm for Douala before connecting back to Lagos at 2:10pm, arriving at 3:40pm.
In addition, the airline will operate the Lagos-Bamako-Conakry-Bamako-Lagos route three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The schedule indicates that flights will depart Lagos at 7:00am for Bamako, arriving at 8:30am, before proceeding to Conakry at 9:10am and arriving at 10:50am. Return flights from Conakry will depart at 11:30am for Bamako, while the final leg back to Lagos will leave Bamako at 1:50pm, arriving in Lagos at 5:20pm.
Air Peace said the new routes significantly strengthen its regional network while reinforcing Lagos as a critical aviation gateway connecting West and Central Africa with both domestic and international destinations.
The airline explained that passengers travelling from Douala, Libreville, Bamako and Conakry would now enjoy seamless onward connections to several cities across Nigeria through its Lagos hub, including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, Gombe, Ibadan, Yola and Maiduguri.
Beyond domestic connections, the airline said the expansion also improves access to its growing international route network, including flights to London Gatwick in the United Kingdom, as well as Caribbean destinations such as Antigua and Barbados.
According to the airline, the improved connectivity opens fresh opportunities for business travel, education, tourism, family visits and trade between Africa and global markets.
Commenting on the development, Air Peace management said the expansion reflects the airline’s broader vision of connecting African countries through efficient, reliable and affordable air transportation.

It added that Lagos continues to evolve into a key transit hub within the airline’s broader network strategy, helping to bridge African destinations with major international routes.
Air Peace further noted that the new routes align with the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area and the Single African Air Transport Market, two major continental initiatives aimed at reducing trade barriers and improving cross-border movement within Africa.
The airline encouraged corporate organisations, travel agencies and passengers to take advantage of the new services, competitive fares, generous baggage allowances and network-wide connectivity, noting that bookings have already opened through its website, mobile application, contact centre and accredited travel agencies worldwide.
