May 21, (THEWILL) — Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has strengthened crew training efficiency and operational standards through a strategic partnership with the renowned aviation training organisation, Dutch Aviation Trainers, as part of efforts to deepen pilot training and align with global aviation best practices.
The high-level meeting, held on Thursday at the Air Peace Corporate Headquarters in Lagos, brought together executives of both organisations to deepen collaboration on pilot training programmes, particularly for the airline’s Boeing 737 NG fleet.
The engagement marks another significant step in Air Peace’s sustained investment in human capital development, safety enhancement, and technical capacity building as the airline continues to expand its domestic, regional, and international operations.
Dutch Aviation Trainers (DAT), globally recognised as a leading Aviation Training Organisation (ATO) specialising in Boeing and Embraer aircraft training, currently handles the training of Air Peace pilots on the Embraer E1 and E2 aircraft types.
The partnership has continued to strengthen the technical expertise and operational competence of the airline’s cockpit crew in line with international aviation standards.
DAT is reputed for its comprehensive type-rating programmes and advanced aviation courses designed to equip pilots with superior operational proficiency and safety-oriented practices.
The organisation has also trained pilots for globally recognised airlines, including KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and AMAS Airlines Uruguay.
Speaking during the engagement, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace reaffirmed the airline’s unwavering dedication to continuous training, safety culture, and operational efficiency, stressing that investment in personnel development remains central to the carrier’s long-term growth strategy.
According to the airline, the collaboration aligns with its broader vision of maintaining world-class operational standards across its expanding fleet and route network while ensuring passengers continue to enjoy safe, reliable, and exceptional services to passengers across its domestic, regional, and international operations.
Representing Dutch Aviation Trainers at the meeting were the organisation’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Captain Paul Ten Hof, alongside Herman, who engaged Air Peace executives on areas of future collaboration and additional capacity-building opportunities.
Industry stakeholders believe the strengthened relationship between both organisations will further position Air Peace as one of Africa’s leading airlines in crew competence, operational safety, and adherence to global aviation standards..
