BEVERLY HILLS, March 11, (THEWILL) – Akwa Ibom State Government Wednesday, March 10, 2021 took delivery of 69,030 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine from the Federal Government.
The consignment contained in brown cartons The Will reports, arrived the Victor Attah International Airport at about 7pm even as the state’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Augustine Umoh, was on hand to receive the vaccines on behalf of the state government.
Speaking while taking the delivery, Umoh assured that the state cold chain facility was in place to preserve the vaccines.
He however affirmed that the vaccines were safe and frontline health care workers in the state would be the first to receive the vaccines.
