Akwa Ibom Kicks Off Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme

October 19, (THEWILL) – The pledge by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to place a premium on entrepreneurship development has received a boost with the kick-off of the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme (EAP).

This is in line with Governor Eno’s promise to empower the 400 vendors who attended the maiden Made-In-Akwa Ibom Trade Fair recently.

The training took off smoothly with eager faces, brimming with anticipation and resounding excitement.

Recall that the Governor had announced the donation of N250 million to the Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Centre (Ibom-LED) for the training and mobilisation of about 400 entrepreneurs in the State during the formal flag-off of the Made in Akwa Ibom Trade Fair at Ibom-Led Headquarters (former Ibom E-Library), IBB Avenue, Uyo.

According to him, the gesture was in appreciation of the dexterity of the people in various trades and urged the entrepreneurs to take advantage of the trade fair to proudly exhibit their innovations and creativity.

The kick-off began with an introductory session by the team lead, Pastor Imo-Abasi Jacob, and other members of the faculty.

It ended with an evening of cocktails, where participants and faculty mixed, mingled, connected and raised their glasses to toast to new beginnings, which EAP 01 signifies as well as the Arise Agenda.
