Police spokesperson, Timfon John, said the breakthrough was made possible through information provided by one Otoabasi George Ime, 42, of Use Abat Village in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, who was earlier apprehended with a stolen car.

Preliminary investigations revealed that all suspects in custody have confessed to stealing nine vehicles.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, commended the officers for their professionalism and dedication.

He reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to dismantle criminal networks and protect lives and property in the state.

Investigations are ongoing to recover more stolen vehicles and identify the weapons and tools used by the syndicate.
