December 24, (THEWILL) – Technical Advisor to the Governor of Benue State on Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communication, Solomon Iorpev, has extended goodwill to the Mbavaa community in Konshisha Local Government Area, urging residents to sustain their faith in Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration.
Iorpev, who hosted over 100 widows and key political stakeholders from three council wards at his Tse Agberagba residence during the Yuletide season, made donations that included wrappers, cartons of seasoning cubes, bags of salt, cash, and a cow to support the celebrations.
Addressing attendees, Iorpev, also known as the Akinde U Konshisha, pledged that such gestures would become an annual tradition starting in 2025 and would be extended to all widows in the community twice a year.
He also called for prayers for himself, other political appointees, and Alia, emphasising the need for effective and sincere service delivery.
“I appreciate Governor Alia for his people-focused administration. I assure you that his good work will soon reach every corner of the state, including our immediate community. Let us continue to pray and support him until his second term in 2027,” Iorpev said.
In their remarks, local leaders, including Hon. Titus Ahua, Akunde Ber, and Barr. James Jinge, commended Iorpev for reconnecting with his community and supporting residents during the festive season.
Women from the wards—Atese Amande from Mbatem, Comfort Tyonongo from Mbatsen, and Mzahan Iangba—alongside others, composed songs and performed solidarity dances in honor of Iorpev and the governor.
They lauded the initiative, describing it as unprecedented in the community.
“We pray for God’s sustenance on you and pledge our unwavering support for you and Governor Alia as you continue your good works,” they said.
Former Konshisha Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Korapera Dwem, alongside Hon. Solomon Marshai Adaa, Hon. Mrs. Zulum Tashan, and Elder Gangese, also reaffirmed their support for Iorpev and Governor Alia’s administration.
