May 09, (THEWILL) – The Senator representing Kebbi Central, Adamu Aliero, alongside his colleagues from Kebbi North and South, Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi and Garba Maidoki, has announced their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Their defection was made public on Friday after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The senators were led to the meeting by the APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje. Also present were key political leaders from the North-West, including Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris; Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu; and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
