APC Mourns Ex-Plateau Deputy Gov Tyoden

May 05, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Professor Sunny Tyoden.

In a statement issued on Monday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party extended its condolences to Tyoden’s family, friends, associates, and the government and people of Plateau State “during this difficult time.”

THEWILL earlier reported that Tyoden, a professor of Political Economy and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, died at the age of 74 after a brief illness.

Describing him as an accomplished public servant, the party noted that Tyoden served as Deputy Governor under former Governor Simon Lalong for two consecutive terms and was known for his grassroots mobilization and philanthropic contributions.

“He will be sorely missed. May the soul of Prof. Sunny Tyoden find eternal rest. Amen,” the statement added.
