February 21, (THEWILL) – The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has removed Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as the chairman of the Edo State Governorship Election Primary Committee.
However, in an amended list, released by the party’s National Organising Secretary, H.E Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the committee will now be chaired by the Governor of Cross Rivers state, Bassey Otu, while Alh. Rabiu Suleiman will serve as Secretary.
The Party also announced the appointment of Barr. C. C. Udenwa as the chairman Appeals committee.
THEWILL reports that the decision to replace Uzodimma, followed his declaration of Dennis Idahosa, as winner of the primary election while the process was still ongoing.
Meanwhile, the party has annulled Uzodimma’s declaration, while directing that the process be completed. The exercise was further scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 22.
