March 22, (THEWILL) — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Tuesday, March 24, for the screening of aspirants seeking various national offices of the party, as preparations intensify ahead of its March 27 National Convention.
In a notice issued on Sunday, the Secretary of the party’s Aspirants’ Screening Committee, Isa Yuguda, said the exercise would be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel.
Yuguda, a former Governor of Bauchi State, stated that all aspirants who had purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms are required to appear in person for the screening.
He added that candidates must arrive early at the venue with all relevant supporting documents to ensure a smooth and efficient verification process.
The screening exercise is a key step in the party’s convention timetable and is expected to determine the eligibility of contenders vying for positions in the National Working Committee (NWC).
The APC National Convention, scheduled for March 27, will bring together delegates and stakeholders from across the country to elect new national officers and chart the party’s strategic direction ahead of future political contests.
