March 18, (THEWILL)- Amid the crisis over its primary election in Edo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled Dennis Idahosa as its deputy governorship candidate for the September 21 gubernatorial election in the State.
Idahosa was one of the aggrieved governorship aspirants in the recently concluded primary election of the APC in Edo State. He will serve as a running mate to Senator Monday Okpebholo, the governorship candidate of the party in the State.
Earlier, Okpebholo named Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama as his running mate. But at a meeting on Sunday night, Idahosa was unveiled in the presence of the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje; former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole; Okpebholo himself, and several other party chieftains.
Born November 8, 1980, Idahosa, from Iguobazuwa in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, is the CEO of Eagle Denco Company Limited, a company with interests in construction, mining and real estate.
He served as Commissioner for Investment, Public and Private Partnership in the Adams Oshiomhole administration as Edo State governor.
The 43-year-old is currently representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
