
September 09, (THEWILL) – Two nurses and an unspecified number of patients have been abducted by suspected bandits who invaded the Primary Healthcare Centre at Kuyallo, in Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Monday.
Musa Alhassan, one of the leaders of a local vigilante group, said the bandits attacked the hospital at about 9:00 am.
“The bandits came to nearby Government Day Secondary school around 9:00 am, asking about the students, but when they found out the school was empty, they went to the healthcare centre and started kidnapping people. They took two female nurses and several patients hostage.
“The exact number of patients kidnapped is still unknown,” Alhassan said.
Authorities in Kaduna, including the State Government and the Police, have yet to issue any statement on the incident at the time of filing this report
