November 29, (THEWILL) – Faithful of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star in Bayelsa State joined their counterparts worldwide to commemorate the Manifestation of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, a spiritual milestone celebrated annually by the religious group.
The event, which began with a rally aimed at fostering spiritual rejuvenation and enlightenment, culminated in a crusade at the Agbura community.
Organised by the Brotherhood’s Healing Home, the celebration featured songs, testimonies, and the cutting of a symbolic cake to honor the birth of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, revered as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords by the sect.
In a sermon during the event, Bishop Timi Atie, Priest of the Family Healing Home, emphasized that the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is not a church but a divine kingdom, with His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu as its spiritual leader.
Citing biblical references such as Daniel 2:44, he highlighted the group’s belief that God has established His kingdom on earth to unite all creatures.
“Adam lost the kingdom through disobedience, but God, in His infinite mercy, has restored it for all humanity to worship under one divine umbrella,” Bishop Atie declared.
Addressing common misconceptions, Bishop Atie challenged traditional Christian beliefs that heaven is a distant realm, stating instead that scriptures like John 14:1-2 and Luke 22:21-25 point to God’s kingdom being established on earth.
He added that in April 2001, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu crowned his son, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, fulfilling the prophecy in Daniel 7:13-14.
Atie also addressed a recent viral video showing individuals removing the portrait of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu.
He described these individuals as “rebels,” likening their actions to Lucifer’s rebellion in heaven.
He said, “These acts of rebellion have deep roots.
“Since April 2001, when the spiritual leader, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, coronated his son as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, dissenters who felt entitled to the throne began their campaign of resistance. Like Lucifer, their rebellion is destined to fail.”
He criticised the rebels for their lack of understanding, citing scriptures such as John 5:19-23 to underscore the divine authority of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu.
Atie urged members of the Brotherhood to remain steadfast, study the scriptures diligently, and avoid being swayed by misinformation.
“As faithful, you must know whom you serve and stand firm in the teachings of the divine kingdom,” he concluded.
