The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has started declaring more results of the Bayelsa Gubernatorial poll.

More results are still being awaited and the Returning Officer has called for patience. He has also directed all parties with complaints to properly file their petitions.
The supplementary results from six local government areas announced so far show that incumbent governor and PDP candidate, Seriake Dickson, has 6,169 votes as against 4,042 votes polled by APC candidate, Timipre Sylva.
Dickson now has a total of 114231 votes, while Sylva now has a total of 77,906 votes.
Results for Southern Ijaw, the largest LGA in the state, are still being awaited.

SAN FRANCISCO, January 10, (THEWILL) – Results of the supplementary governorship elections in Bayelsa State are being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The election which took place in Southern Ijaw LGA; Brass Ward 1 in Brass LGA; Tarakiri Ward, Oporoma Ward and Bassambiri Ward all in Ekeremo LGA; Ologi Ward in Ogbio LGA; Asamabiri in Sagbama LGA; and, Attissa Ward in Yenagoa LGA, witnessed heavy presence of security operatives to forestall violence.
Although, results from Southern Ijaw are yet to be announced, here are the results already announced.

Dickson vs Sylva: How they stand
PDP’s Dickson, the incumbent had 105,748 votes previously, with additional 2,314 votes from the already announced results now has a total of 108,062 votes.
APC’s Sylva had 71,749 votes previously, with additional 2,385 votes from the already announced results now has a total of 73,864 votes.
There are 120,827 registered voters in the pending Southern Ijaw local government.
INEC says the announcement of results will continue by 11:00am.
