September 03, (THEWILL) — The Benue State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointments of Dr. Bem Mela as Clerk and Francis Adole as Deputy Clerk.
Their confirmation followed a correspondence from the Chairman of the Benue State House of Assembly Service Commission, Mrs. Ngohemba Agaigbe, notifying the House of the Commission’s approval of the officers’ appointments.
At plenary, the Majority Leader, Hon. Saater Tiseer, also presented reports of the Committee on Higher Education on a bill to amend the Revd. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University Law, 2020, as well as bills to amend the laws establishing the Colleges of Education in Katsina-Ala and Oju.
Ruling on the matter, Speaker Alfred Emberga referred the reports to the House Standing Committee on Rules and Business to be scheduled for debate at a later date.
