
May 31, (THEWILL) – The Benue State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty by its new Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Udeme Edet, following recent administrative postings approved by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
DSP Edet, a graduate of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Relations.
Prior to her posting to Benue, she served as the Divisional Crime Officer at Ikpai Omni Division in Calabar, Cross River State.
In a statement released by the outgoing spokesperson, SP Sewuese Anene, the Command urged members of the public and the media to extend their usual cooperation and support to DSP Edet as she takes on her new role.
The statement noted that the collaboration is vital in strengthening police-community relations and promoting public safety across the state.
