November 19, (THEWILL) – Governor Hyacinth Alia and Pro-chancellor and chairman of Governing Council, Patrick Chukwuma, are to attend the combined convocation ceremony of the Benue State University, Makurdi, which is scheduled to be held from 5th to 6th December, 2024.
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Joe Tor Iorpuu, who announced this after an emergency meeting with the publicity sub-committee for the event, urged the Committee to embark on an aggressive publicity ahead of the ceremony.
He advocated the use of all forms of the mass media, arrange discussion programmes, design and produce jingles, as well as ensure prompt issuance of invitation cards to designated invited guests.
Responding, the publicity sub-committee Chairman, Dr Tyotom Keghku, promised to bring the professional acumen of members to bear on the task before them.
He pledged members commitment towards working in collaboration with other sub-committees and the university management for the overall success of ceremony.
