April 03, (THEWILL) — Berger Paints Nigeria Plc has reported a ₦2.4 billion profit after tax for the 2025 financial year, reflecting a strong earnings performance driven by higher sales and improved operating efficiency.

Profit before tax climbed to ₦3.6 billion, compared with ₦2.72 billion in the previous year, while profit after tax settled at ₦2.4 billion, up from ₦1.87 billion in 2024.

On the back of the improved earnings, the board of directors proposed a final dividend of ₦1.20 per share, bringing the total dividend for the 2025 financial year to ₦1.40 per share when combined with the ₦0.20 interim dividend already paid during the year.

The company said its performance was supported by strong demand for decorative and protective coatings, particularly from Nigeria’s construction and infrastructure segments.

Strategic pricing adjustments, improved distribution networks, and tighter cost management also helped cushion the impact of inflation and foreign exchange volatility on production costs.

Despite operating in a challenging macroeconomic environment marked by elevated input costs and currency pressures, Berger Paints maintained steady growth across its core product lines.

Looking ahead, the company expressed optimism about growth opportunities in Nigeria’s building and construction sector, noting that rising urban development and infrastructure projects could continue to support demand for paints and coatings in the coming years.
