July 17, (THEWILL) – The trio of Blessing Oborududu, Mercy Genesis and Esther Kolawale, returned to Nigeria on Sunday, after a successful outing at the Hungary Ranking Series, where Nigeria won a Silver and bronze medal.
Olympic Silver medallist, Blessing Oborududu, clinched a silver medal at the Hungary Ranking Series, while Mercy Genesis won Bronze, and Esther Kolawale missed out on a podium finish.
However, at the Spanish Grand Prix a week earlier, Esther Kolawale recorded gold for team Nigeria, like Mercy Genesis, with Blessing Oborodudu winning a Bronze medal.
The trio gave a good account of themselves at the two international events before returning to Nigeria to compete in the Governor Douye Diri Wrestling Classics in Yenagoa.

Meanwhile, athletes who win their weight classes and possess other criteria necessary to place top 5 at the championships, will be qualified to attend the world championships.
The Governor Douye Diri National Wrestling Classics, the longest-running yearly tournament, will commence from 4th August – 10th August.
The Bayelsa Governor’s National Wrestling Classics has been hosted annually by the Bayelsa State Government since 2009.
