November 29, (THEWILL) – A boat carrying over 200 passengers including market women and farm laborers, capsized on Friday morning at Dambo-Ebuchi sections of River Niger.
Eyewitnesses said the ill-fated boat which belonged to one Musa Dangana capsized, throwing all passengers on board into the water.
Although, there is no official statement on the incident, a report by Channels Television, said local divers have so far recovered eight bodies while search and rescue operations continue to locate the remaining passengers.
