April 24, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived Abuja after a 35-day vacation in France.
THEWILL earlier reported that Tinubu, who left Nigeria on March 21, was expected back in the country on Monday evening, ahead of the May 29 inauguration.
The President-elect was received by the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima and some state governors on Monday evening, at the presidential wing of the Abuja International Airport.
Tinubu’s return was confirmed in a tweet by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga.
“Jagaban lands in Abuja. Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima and governors at the airport reception for President-elect Tinubu,” Onanuga wrote.
