
August 08, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Senate to confirm the appointment of Muhammad Sabo Lamido as Executive Commissioner, Finance and Accounts, for the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
A statement by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said the appointment is contained in a letter sent to the Senate for his confirmation.
The President in a letter to Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, said Lamido was being nominated due to the death of Hassan Gambo, who occupied the position until his demise.
He urged the Senate to confirm the nominee “in the usual expeditious manner.”
