
July 15, (THEWILL) — The body of former President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Nigeria from London.
A Nigerian Air Force aircraft conveying his remains touched down at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport in Katsina, where it was received by President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, alongside senior military officers.
Also present were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other top government officials who accompanied the late president’s remains back to the country.
Buhari died on Sunday in a London clinic after a prolonged illness.
Earlier, the Federal Government declared Tuesday, July 15, a public holiday in honour of the late Nigerian leader.
