February 06, (THEWILL) – The Yobe State Government has declared Wednesday, February 7, 2024, as a work-free day in honour of the late former Governor of the state, Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

A statement signed on Tuesday, by Mamman Mohammed, Director General, Press and Media Affairs, Yobe Government House, said Governor Mai Mala Buni has directed that Wednesday be used to offer prayers for the former governor who died in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The prayers for the late former governor will be offered at the Government House Mosque, Damaturu.

Governor Buni urged the people of Yobe to use the period to pray for the repose of the soul of the late governor.
