December 24, (THEWILL) – Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has felicitated with the people of Kano State, particularly members of the Christian community, as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.
This is contained in a statement issued on Sunday, in Kano by the State Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye.
The statement said Governor Yusuf urged them to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity in line with the true teachings of Jesus Christ, which emphasises tolerance, patience, care for the needy and love for one another.
He also enjoined the people of the State to continue to live in peace and to adhere to traffic rules and regulations in order to avoid all forms of road accidents and protect the lives of every road user.
He also urged Christians to use the festive period to pray for unity, peace and prosperity in the state and the country.
The Governor then assured the people of the State that his administration would continue to execute projects and programmes for the socio-economic development of the State.
