December 10, (THEWILL) – A Federal High Court in Gusau on Friday dismissed the case filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) faction led by Abdul Aziz Yari, challenging the dissolution of the state party’s exco by Mai Mala Buni.

Delivering the judgment, the presiding judge, Justice Aminu Bappa Aliyu, dismissed the case for lack of jurisdiction.

Bappa said the case filed by Yari’s APC faction is purely an internal crisis, a party affair.

“This is purely an internal crisis. It is a party affair, as such, the case is hereby dismissed because this honourable court lacks jurisdiction to entertain the case,” said Bappa.

However, the Counsel to former governor Yari, Barrister Bello Gusau told journalists that they would study the case before taking any further action.

The state APC’s publicity secretary of the Governor Bello Matawalle faction, Alhaji Yusuf Idris, commended the court for its judgment.

Idris called on other factions in the party to join hands with Governor Matawalle to build the party for it to succeed in the 2023 elections.
