Customs Intercepts Arms, Military Uniform At Lagos Port

March 15, (THEWILL) – Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Tin-Can Island Command, have intercepted a cache of arms and ammunition allegedly being smuggled into the country by some criminal gang.

Details of the development are still sketchy, a source within the service said the arms were recovered during an inspection of consignments imported into the country.

THEWILL gathered that the intercepted items included automatic single-barrel rifles, pump action guns, military camouflage and illicit drugs.

It is not clear as of press time, if any arrest has been made.
