October 10, (THEWILL) – Grammy-winning Canadian singer, Aubrey Drake Graham, has announced a hiatus from music to prioritise his health.
The 36-year-old megastar revealed that he has been dealing with persistent stomach issues for years, adding that the issues have prompted him to take a break from music.
Emphasising the need to focus on his well-being, Drake said he intends to temporarily close the door to his studio for approximately a year or potentially longer.
“I need to focus on my health, first and foremost. I need to focus on my health, and I need to get it right.
”I have been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach. I will lock the door of the studio for a little bit. Maybe a year or something, maybe a little longer,” he said.
Drake’s decision comes after the release of his 10th album, ‘For All The Dogs’, which featured notable collaborations with artistes like 21 Savage, J Cole, Sza, Lil Yachty, and Bad Bunny.
