October 25 (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s secret police, DSS has freed the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, after detaining him for months without bringing formal charges against him in court.
Bawa, according to multiple reports, regained his freedom on Wednesday night in Abuja, where he was being confined at the DSS headquarters alongside the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele.
