March 29, (THEWILL) — Nigerian business leader Dupe Olusola has been appointed Professional Advisor to the MIT Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship at the MIT Sloan School of Management, strengthening the centre’s engagement with emerging markets and entrepreneurship-driven development.
Olusola, currently a 2026 Fellow of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative and Chief Executive Officer of DOVA Capital, said the role aligns with her long-standing focus on market-creating innovation and inclusive growth.
“I have spent over two decades operating at the intersection of capital, infrastructure, and emerging markets,” she noted, adding that the experience will shape the perspective she brings to the advisory role.
With more than 25 years of experience across finance, private equity, and strategic business development, Olusola has held leadership roles across several major institutions.
She previously served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Hotels Plc, steering the company through the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and overseeing the flagship Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
Earlier in her career, she was Group Head of Marketing at United Bank for Africa, where she led marketing strategy across operations in 23 countries, and Managing Director of Teragro Commodities Limited, the agribusiness subsidiary of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc.
She also served as Chief Operating Officer of Transcorp Group, where she played a key role in the roughly $300 million acquisition of the Ughelli Power Plant, now operated by Transcorp Power Plc.
The MIT Kuo Sharper Center focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation aimed at building prosperity through scalable business systems and market-creating solutions.
Olusola said her advisory role will focus on how capital flows into emerging markets and how stronger institutional frameworks can support scalable enterprises across Africa.
Her appointment brings practical Africa-focused expertise in capital deployment, infrastructure development, and entrepreneurship to the Center’s global initiatives.
