July 12, (THEWILL) – The Chairmanship Aspirant for Afikpo south Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Chima Ekumankama, has pledged to bring unity and enhance development for his people.
Ekumankama stated this while submitting his interest and nomination form at the party secretariat, on Tuesday, in Abakaliki, the state capital, in the company of his massive supporters who came all the way from Edda to show their solidarity.
“We have been challenged with disunity in our place that needs to be tackled, and from the support I’m getting so far, the cooperation of my people, we will restore back peace, unity, oneness in Edda land.
“And in terms of development, we will work with both political actors and non political actors to attract a lot for the good people of Edda land”, Chima said.
He said he would create an atmosphere to interact with the youths and keep in touch to make them understand the need to work hard to achieve success, rather than indulge in social vices such as cultism, among others.
He commended Governor David Umahi for the infrastructural development in Afikpo south and pledged to work for the interest of the party as a show of appreciation of the good works of the Governor.
While receiving the nomination form, the State APC chairman, Mr Stanley Okoro Emegha, commended the massive crowd that came in support of chima, noting it as a show of massive support for the party in Edda.
He called on the people to always support Governor David Umahi and ensure that they participate fully in the general elections, to deliver the party beyond expectations.
