
September 21, (THEWILL) – The candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State, Barr. Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, has lost his polling unit to his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo.
According to the result announced at Polling Unit 11, Ward 06, Oredo Local Government Area, Ighodalo polled 41 votes to defeat Akpata, who scored 32 votes. Monday Okpebholo of the All Progress Congress (APC) came third with 19 votes.
In another result declared at Urhonigbe South, Ward 8, Unit 1, in Orhiomwon Local Government Area, the LP scored 6 votes, APC had 69 and the PDP scored 125 votes.
