April 29, (THEWILL) – The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the immediate redeployment of two pro-chancellors of federal universities as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance in the nation’s tertiary institutions.
In a statement signed by the Ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, the move was described as a step towards promoting fairness, transparency, and good governance in the education sector.
Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, said the reforms are aimed at creating a more conducive learning environment for students while upholding the high standards of Nigerian universities.
“With the renewed reforms in the education system, we are determined to ensure fairness, transparency, and strong governance across all our universities, ensuring our children receive quality education in the best environment,” Alausa said.
According to the ministry, Retired Colonel Abdulmumini Aminu, who previously served as the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, has been redeployed to the Federal University Kebbi. Similarly, His Excellency Ali Abubakar Jatau, who was the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi, has been reassigned to the Federal University Dutsin-Ma.
The redeployments take immediate effect.
The Minister thanked the two appointees for their continued dedication and service to the nation’s educational development.
