
August 10, (THEWILL) – The remains of a yet-to-be-identified man, who jumped into the lagoon in the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge area of Lagos State, have been recovered.
The discovery came exactly after two days of intensive search and rescue operations.
Eyewitnesses reported that the victim, identified as a dispatch rider, had parked his operational motorbike on the bridge on Tuesday afternoon before diving into the Lagoon.
His remains were recovered on Thursday by the Lagos State Emergency and Rescue team.
Head, Public Education of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Amodu Shakiru, confirmed the development.
THEWILL reports that the body has been badged for onward movement to the Lagos morgue by the State Environmental Health Management Unit (SEHMU).
