The market today, Thursday opened with the market Capitalisation standing at N114.377, and closed at N114.660 trillion.

While the ASI stood at 178,184.36 at the opening of the market session and closed at 178,625.63, reflecting a modest but sustained advance in key market indicators.

Market breadth remained positive, with 46 gainers outpacing 35 losers, signaling that bullish sentiment persists even as volatility surfaced in select counters.

The top gainers for the day include:

  1. DEAPCAP added 10.00 percent (N7.90 to close at N8.69).
  2. RTBRISCOE recorded 10.00 percent gain (opened at N14.40 and closed at N15.84).
  3. SEPLAT advanced by 10.00 percent (moved up from N7,370.00 to N8,107.00).
  4. ZICHIS moved up by 9.97 percent (N8.93 to N9.82).
  5. DAARCOMM grew by 9.96 percent (N2.51 and closed at N2.76).

On the losers side, the top laggards include:

  1. NAHCO fell -9.98 percent (opened at N164.90 and closed at N148.45).
  2. ABBEYBDS declined by -9.68 percent (from N12.40 to N11.20).
  3. ETERNA -9.50 percent (stood at N33.15 and fell to N30.00 by the close of day).
  4. MAYBAKER -9.19 percent (N44.60 to N40.50).
  5. ETI -8.72 percent (N49.30 to N45.00).

Stocks that closed flat for the session include Okomu Oil Palm, Custodian Investment Plc, Julius Berger, DN Tyre and Rubber, Champion Brew Plc, and Nestle Nigeria.

Overall, Thursday’s session reflected continued investor engagement, with steady accumulation in select equities supporting the market’s upward movement.
