Investor sentiment remained largely positive, supported by:
Renewed interest in mid-cap and insurance stocks which dominated the gainers’ chart.
Sustained liquidity inflows into the equities market following recent macroeconomic improvements.
Profit-taking that remained limited to a few counters, especially in agric and industrial names.
Despite the mixed performance across sectors, the strong number of advancing stocks signalled confidence ahead of upcoming economic indicators and corporate announcements.
With the ASI crossing 147,400 points, near-term sentiment suggests a continuation of the mild uptrend if buying pressure persists. However, analysts expect intermittent profit-taking, especially in recently rallied counters. Broad market direction will likely remain influenced by liquidity levels, interest-rate expectations, and sector-specific news flows.
