January 03, (THEWILL) – Former President of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki, is alive and not dead, the Thabo Mbeki Foundation said in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement followed social media reports that the former president died on Tuesday, after a brief illness.
“We categorically deny these reports and wish to assure the public that former president Mbeki is in good health.
“We urge caution and responsible engagement with online information, particularly during a time when misinformation can spread rapidly,” the foundation said.
