February 20, (THEWILL) – The Federal Government has terminated the contract of the 98km Oyo-Ogbomoso road awarded to RCC Construction Company.
The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, disclosed this on Thursday, at a stakeholders engagement meeting on Oyo Federal Roads, held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Noting that the road project is long overdue, Umahi assured that it would be re-awarded to another contractor.
Stakeholders at the meeting, including the lawmaker representing, Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, lamented the bad state of the road.
