May 01, (THEWILL) — Fidelity Bank Plc has announced the exit of Morohunke Bammeke from its Board, following the completion of her tenure as Independent Non-Executive Director.

The development was disclosed in a statement dated April 30, 2026, and signed by the Company Secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje.

According to the bank, Bammeke’s tenure officially ended on April 30, 2026, bringing to a close a period marked by active participation in governance and oversight.

During her time on the Board, Bammeke served on key committees, including the Board Audit Committee and the Board Information Technology Committee, which she chaired.

Her contributions were particularly noted in strengthening the bank’s technology governance and risk management frameworks.

Bammeke brings over 36 years of multi-functional and cross-border experience, spanning Information Technology, Banking Operations, Corporate and Commercial Banking, and Internal Audit.

Her career includes leadership roles such as Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (UK) Limited and Managing Director of Pensions Alliance Limited. She also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Palton Morgan Holdings Limited and held senior roles at GTBank Plc and First Bank of Nigeria Plc.

An alumna of Obafemi Awolowo University, she holds a First Class degree in Computer Science with Economics, and a Master’s degree from London Business School. She is also a Sloan Research Fellow and Chevening Scholar.

Separately, the bank recently disclosed that its private placement of 14.8 billion shares at N17.50 achieved an 87.7 percent subscription rate after verification by the Central Bank of Nigeria, with 12.97 billion shares allotted, totaling N227.05 billion.
