Fight For Yourself, Go Get Your Own Oil — Trump Tells Nations Amid Hormuz Disruption

Trump

March 31, (THEWILL) — US President, Donald Trump, has urged countries affected by fuel shortages linked to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz to take full responsibility for their energy security, declaring that the United States would no longer serve as a guarantor for global fuel stability.

In a strongly worded message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump addressed nations struggling with jet fuel shortages, including key U.S. allies, advising them to either purchase oil directly from the United States or secure supply routes independently.

“All of those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz… like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved… I have a suggestion for you: Number 1, buy from the U.S., we have plenty”, he said.

He escalated his remarks further, urging affected nations to adopt a more forceful approach in securing access to critical energy routes.

“Number 2, build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT”, he added.

Trump stressed that the era of U.S. intervention in such crises was over, insisting that countries must now learn to act independently in protecting their strategic interests.

“You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us”, he said.

He also claimed that Iran’s military and strategic capabilities had been significantly weakened, stating: “Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done.”

The remarks come amid growing concerns over global energy security following disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical maritime chokepoints for oil and gas transport, where tensions continue to threaten supply stability and international market confidence.

Trump concluded his message with a blunt directive that has since sparked global debate: “Go get your own oil!”
