July 2 (THEWILL) — At least four people were killed and 10 others injured on Thursday after an explosion ripped through a café in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
The explosion occurred at a café on Al Nasr Street, near the Justice Palace in central Damascus.
Syrian state media reported that emergency responders swiftly evacuated the victims to nearby hospitals, while security forces sealed off the area to facilitate rescue efforts and preserve the scene for investigators.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the explosion, and no group has claimed responsibility.
Meanwhile, security forces have established a security cordon around the site, restricting access as forensic teams and emergency personnel carried out their operations.
Officials said investigations are ongoing to establish whether the blast resulted from an accident or a deliberate act.
