June 09, (THEWILL) – Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue state, Revd Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has congratulated the National Leader of the Party, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over his emergence as the presidential flag bearer of the party during the just concluded special convention in Abuja.

According to the Gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Tinubu’s emergence followed through a democratic global best practice, just as he expressed the confidence that Nigerians would vote massively for him in the 2023 general elections.

In a release by his Media Assistant, Mr Donald Kumun, in Makurdi on Wednesday, Fr Alia said party delegates across the country, voted for senator Tinubu as the best bet for the nation, giving his stride records and the obvious desires of Nigerians in dire need of a leader with the highest leadership acumen to provide the required development for the Nation with international connections.

According to the statement, “Tinubu during his tenure as governor of Lagos State, his monumental achievements  sprung up in Lagos to what it is now, contributed to making it a hub of economic strength of the nation and the positive political structures he set across the country, from his administration’s successes, such as reforming the civil service, reducing corruption, and improving the State’s infrastructure, gave him the clear edge over his fellow Presidential Contenders.

“The free and fair presidential primary which was conducted live on all the Standard National and International Broadcast Stations in the country is an indication that APC is ready to stand tall in the rank and files of candidates from other political parties, to win the general elections next year.

“Tinubu lays out the steps he took to improve incentives for civil servants, including salary increases, improving quality and hygiene of working environments, and teaching investment principles and how to work toward home ownership. His payroll system reforms removed thousands of ghost workers from the system, applied principles he learned in the corporate world to the public sector reform effort.”

He reminded the presidential candidate that there are millions of Nigerians who believe in the new Nigeria and have faith in the possibilities and are doing their best in their various corners to build the nation through honest and committed endeavors.

The Benue APC governorship candidate, therefore, assured Senator Tinubu, the National Working Committee, Benue hierarchy of the party and the entire people of the State of his unflinching support towards ensuring that the interests of the electorate both in the state and beyond in prioritising the core principles of democracy would not be compromised if voted into power in 2023.
