November 05, (THEWILL) — Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain calm amid the ongoing leadership crisis rocking the party, assuring that the disagreement will soon be resolved.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor described the situation as a “family affair” and maintained that party stakeholders are already working to restore unity and reposition the PDP ahead of future elections.
“I urge all members of our party, the PDP, to remain calm and be steadfast. We are cruising to victory next year and we must remain committed to rebuilding this party for another landslide win,” Adeleke said.
He noted that despite the current tension, leaders at the national level are committed to resolving the crisis in the overall interest of the party.
“The ongoing disagreement is a family affair. I assure members at both state and national levels that it will soon be resolved. All stakeholders are focused on the progress and success of the PDP,” he added.
The governor also directed party leaders across wards and local government areas in Osun to intensify mobilisation ahead of the 2026 governorship election, insisting that the PDP remains the party to beat in the state.
“I hereby direct all party leaders across wards and local governments to begin massive mobilisation for our party. We are the party to beat, and we will come out stronger and better,” Adeleke said.
