January 16, (THEWILL) – Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late elder brother, Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, on the occasion of his 70th posthumous birthday.

The governor described the former Osun State governor as a trailblazer whose life was defined by impactful leadership and service to humanity.

In a statement honoring the late politician, popularly known as Serubawon, Adeleke celebrated his brother’s enduring legacy, noting that his life of service laid a strong foundation for progress and development in Osun State.

The governor acknowledged Senator Isiaka Adeleke’s role as a mentor and guiding figure in his own journey, emphasising the profound influence his late brother had on his passion for public service and commitment to uplifting lives.

“On this day, I honor the life of an exceptional man who blessed our lives in ways we can never fully articulate.

“As the first Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Isiaka Adeleke laid the groundwork for a prosperous Osun, pioneering initiatives that transformed lives and advanced the state’s progress,” the governor said.

He described the late senator as more than a brother, calling him a legend who inspired a generation of young people to strive for greatness and leave meaningful legacies.

Reflecting on the late senator’s contributions, Governor Adeleke remarked, “While he is no longer with us, I remain deeply grateful for the values of dedication and service he instilled in me.

“He was a man who gave selflessly to humanity, touching countless lives and leaving an indelible mark on our collective history. Today and every day, I cherish his memory and celebrate the profound grace with which he served humanity.”

The governor expressed his prayers for eternal peace for his late brother, saying, “On this 70th posthumous birthday, I wish him the unceasing blessings of Almighty Allah in heaven. May his beautiful soul continue to rest in peace.”
