May 31, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has announced the appointments of three principal officers in his administration, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Joseph Alakali.
Others are Chief of Staff (CoS), Rt. Honourable Paul Biam and Head of Service of Benue State Civil Service (HoS), Mr Moses Agbogbo Ode.
The Governor had earlier appointed Sir Tersoo Kula as Chief Press Secretary (CPS), and Dr Emmanuel Chenge as the Principal Private Secretary (PPS).
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, said all the appointments take immediate effect, adding that more appointments are expected in the course of time.
It will be recalled that on assumption of duty, the Governor visited the Benue State Civil Service Secretariat, and Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation, where he decried their deplorable conditions.
It was gathered that at the time of the Governor’s visit, only a few workers were seen at the Secretariat, which was attributed to dampened spirit over non-payment of 11 months’ salary by the immediate past administration of Samuel Ortom.
