September 23, (THEWILL) — Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has approved a redeployment of key officials from the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

In the shake-up announced on Tuesday, the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Denen Aondoakaa, was moved to the Office of the Chief of Staff, Government House.

Also affected are Barr. Ajinge Saar and Derby Amine, who have been sent back to the Ministry of Justice; Mrs. Galu, redeployed to the Office of the Accountant-General; while Mr. Shagba Ahura and Rhoda Aboh returned to the Office of the Head of Service.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, said new appointments have been made to fill the vacant positions at the Bureau.

Those appointed include Mr. Terna Ayu as Permanent Secretary; Terkura Dzwungwe as Director of Accounts and Finance; Sule Liambee as Director of Administration and Supply; Mrs. Esther Osugh as Cashier; and Mr. Uza Christopher as Director of Local Government Services.

In a related development, Mr. Noel Wende was redeployed from the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) to the Office of the Head of Service.

According to the statement, the changes take immediate effect, and the newly posted officials are expected to assume duties not later than 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
