February 26, (THEWILL) – Gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, have abducted four female students of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JOSTUM), formerly Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM).
A senior staff member of the school said the students identified as Emmanuella Oraka, Fola, Susan and Ella, were intercepted by the armed men on Tuesday, between 8:30 and 9 pm when they left their hostel to read at the North Core area of the school campus.
However, the Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed that only two students were kidnapped.
Authorities in the school had yet to issue any official statement on the incident.
