May 21, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted four persons in Okoloke community, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The incident, the third in a week, brings the number of abducted persons in the area to eight, including a traditional ruler.
Sources in the area said the latest incident occurred early Tuesday. Among those kidnapped is a retiree and community leader, Pa Ezekiel Durojaiye.
Community sources said the assailants forced their way into Durojaiye’s residence.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, William Aya, said rescue efforts are ongoing.
